Layers upon layers of mountains and forests. Once we reached the saddle of the Garden Wall, overlooking Grinnell Glacier, Grinnell Lake and the mountains surrounding them, I turned around and photographed this scene of soft angled light moving through this vast lanscape scene. The foreground of forests and bare ridge lines, leading out to Lake McDonald in the far background, enveloped in a slight haze from recent fires.
