Autumn Colors

Gold Cache

Capitol Reef National Park, Utah. 2024

Capitol Reef in Autumn. I have lost track as to how much time I have spent photographing just these few trees in this small pocket of Capitol Reef National Park. The glow is just on point and the timing of it lines up too well to pass up. The trees are in full light, very angled, and just as the light creeps above the trees, they begin to become backlit by reflected light. That light is my bread and butter. Its a light I teach about, dream about and create within all the time. Capitol Reef's fall colors are some of the most enjoyable places to spend your fall photography time. The reflected light bouncing of the sandstone canyons near Fruita, down the highway 24 to the end of the park.
