A Day Once More

South-Central Utah. 2024

Experiencing sunrise at Moonscape Overlook is a truly remarkable event. We arrived before dawn, the entire landscape cloaked in darkness with a band of clouds lingering at the horizon, leaving us to wonder if we’d witness a grand sunrise or a subdued one. As the sun began its ascent, the clouds transformed into vibrant bands of yellow and red, lighting up the entire scene. As morning light swept across Moonscape Overlook, a ray of light reached across to the distant Henry Mountains, casting them in a striking magenta-orange glow—a breathtaking moment to capture. Moonscape Overlook offers such unique, atmospheric scenes that reward the patience and timing essential to landscape photography, creating opportunities for extraordinary images and lasting memories.
