A rare phenomenon that occurs a couple of times a year; deep within slot canyons, a small beam of light shines in to the canyon floor, the effect: glowing light all around which reflects warm tones and textures like nothing else on the planet. This is Peek-a-boo Canyon in Southern Utah near Kanab. It's a scene that is stunning and a feature that you need to take your sweet time to photograph and experience. A handful of times a year, this canyon gets these perfect light rays that enter to the canyon floor. The result? Phenomenal reflected light bouncing from wall to wall in this slot canyon and with a little bit of help from tossing sand into the air, which the sun beam illuminates, you have yourself a stunning image.
