Angels Landing

Zion National Park, Utah. Fall 2019

As the sun began to move toward the west side canyon wall of the Scenic Canyon of Zion National Park, the scene began to reveal itself in the presence of which I had envisioned. The light began to dapple, become softer where it needed to be and revealed shadows to be casted in a subtle way onto the yellow grasses in the autumn season. The cottonwoods were golden in color, being mid November. and the blue sky contrasting the yellow was a dream of colors. The subject; Angels Landing, in beautiful light as it rises high into the sky and centered in my composition. The light, colors and depth in this scene worked in every way possible; the lines, shapes and light direct the eye in ways that reveal the best parts of the scene and always resulting in you looking at the subject; Angels Landing.
