Canadian Rockies, Canada. 2024
Out on Abraham Lake in the Canadian Rockies, the ice patterns were extremely unique, as this lake is known for. For the reason, I have no idea. But the patterns were absolutely awesome. I think this is due to a very fast freeze, a "flash freeze" when temperature of 40 below zero come in, doubled with high winds, freeze lakes and rivers quickly, trapping air within the ice. Anyway, I photographed many scenes but non that really spoke to me much. The distractions of other photographers and tourists was a little much for me.
