Silent EchoesChamber
Canyon Country, Utah.
A doorway, a right of passage, the beacon of light in-between layers of darkness. I moved through narrow walls, into open, wide canyon walls, up and down dry falls, over boulders, through this spot hours before and back again, though this time a scene unfolded. The changes of light in these slot canyons change in just minutes instead of hours. I walked up and down this canyon many times throughout the three days I spent in here. Each time the canyon morphs, like an ever-changing maze, though instead of walls closing one way and revealing another, the sun moves east to west as the canyons serpentines, allowing new formations to take shape and concealing others.
I worked this scene, allowing many ideas to come to mind. And after, just as the thoughts came, I walked through the scene onto the other side and continued the journey down canyon.
