Insane light, color, depth and height among the wilderness of Glacier National Park, Montana. After about 12 miles of hiking at this point, on our way back to the vehicle, I saw this scene unfolding and had to stay to photograph it. This was near the Sperry Chalet, where the book titled; "Night of The Grizzly" took place. I was aware of that, as was my girlfriend. And together we didn't want to hike too long in the dark. Especially Elena. But as time would have it, wanting to be here for the best light, it was twilight by the time we began the 6 miles of trail back to the parking lot to "The Big Bend" parking area, where our vehicle was. I yoddled, sang and sang for hours until we were about a quarter of a mile from the road. And then, a sound came from the bushes, a bear that was standing up, looking at us, and as we hollered at it, it went to all fours and wandered into the forest, away from the trail.
The mountain scene here is of Mount Cannon, Clements Mountain, Bird Women Falls and Mount Reynolds. All illuminated in a beautiful glow of sunset light.
