Winter Scenes

Emerge

West Zion, Utah. 2020

A forest of Ponderosa Pine Trees in the midst of a winter storm in the high elevations of Zion National Park, Utah. This storm produces about six inches of pure white snow. I drove up Kolob Terrace Road in West Zion in order to gain enough elevation to get into the fresh white powder. I began working with many scenes but this is the one that really stuck out to me. Framing this sandstone cliff feature with using these mature Ponderosa Pine trees.
