Diamond Beach, Iceland
Golden coasts in Iceland! Geez what can I say? Seth Hamel and I operated two back-to-back weeklong workshops in December of 2022 and it was a great experience. The sun only shines for about four hours a day but the sun just hovers above the horizon, which makes for truly magical light throughout those four hours. This evening was great with the atmosphere and weather that moved across this landscape. We had rain and sunshine one after the other throughout the entire day. This was a moment of calm, in between all of the rain and wind that was present. I photographed dozens and dozens of scenes here on diamond Beach, but nothing was really grabbing me. Even when I photographed this scene, I didn't feel an immediate attraction to it. It wasn't until over a year later that I found this image and decided to bring it back to life. I hope you enjoy
