First light illuminates uniquely shaped sand dunes as the background mountains are in shadow
Death Valley

Facing Sun

Death Valley National Park, California. 2020

Wild first light illuminates the highest dunes facing the rising sun. In the depths of the dunes, where I stand on this quiet, solo morning. The plant life hiding in the shadows, as the tall dunes bathe in first light. Their appearance similar to flowers, following the sun wherever it goes. The Mesquite Sand Dunes here in Death Valley have an endless supply of compositions. The only limitation is the mind. Everything is unique, beautiful and with repeating shapes and lines everywhere you look, it can be bit overwhelming but here in Death Valley, that is how it is suppose to be.
