Factory Lines

Utah Badlands, 2019

Dappled light along the other-worldly landscape. Factory Butte was looking so damn good this morning. Just after sunrise, I hung around to watch the sun move higher into the sky through a handful of clouds that then gave great dappled light on the unique formations of the Utah Badlands, known as Factory Butte in southern Utah. Factory Butte is a large butte that resides near the towns of Hanksville and Torrey, Utah. The landscape is composed of unique colors, forms, shapes, buttes and mountains. Though Factory Butte is THE main feature visitors from around the world come to witness for themselves. This area, along with Moonscape Overlook have become a hot spot for tourists and photographers alike. Though, this area has been like home for me along my photography and camping journey. One that I have been visiting for 10+ years, well before the influx of visitors.
