Manzanita and Yuccas surround a great stand of Ponderosa Pine trees in sunset light. I was riding my dirt bike with my good friend Seth Hamel, we were in search for some pristine Ponderosa Pine forests in order to showcase the immense beauty that was unfolding this spring. The Yuccas were in full bloom, which were scattered throughout this manzanita filled landscape. The bark of the Ponderosa's, atleast the mature ones, were orange and red. The color combination of these were spectacular. Beautiful greens, yellows, and reds. truly beautiful.
After finding this section not too far from camp, I hopped on the motorcycle and cruised up here as the sun began to break through the clouds near sunset time. As the sun came in, it was way to bright, and given the clouds, passing rain and sun, the sunlight was very warm toned, resulting in a too vibrant and red scene. So, I waited for the sunlight to leave the landscape and waited for the residual light from the sun and lit up clouds. This was the ticket to showcase the beauty of this scene.
