Fishlake National Forest, Utah. 2023
Autumn, yellow colored aspen leaves cover the ground of this small cluster of aspens trees. Though no trees can be seen here, the shadows of those trees make diagonal shadows through the image, onto of those leafs. The separation of shadows were staggeringly precise, space between each one were about the same across the floor. I was thrilled to finally land on a composition that spoke to what I was attempting to portray to you, the viewer. Because I was enthralled by the carpeted forest floor and the strong shadow lines moving through the scene.
