Whitefish Mountain, Montana. 2020
During a split-boarded mission, one that I played extremely safe, I cruised around a ridge-line overlooking this beautiful mountain face. The snow covered hillside was pristine, as in it was untouched from anyone or anything, no tracks. The forest was well dispersed and the light that was coming in was so subtle and soft, creating just the most subtle shadows, leaning into this subtle and softness of a feeling that I was going for.
Each image I clicked the shutter for on this scene was of the exact moment I wanted to showcase the feeling that I had in mind for each image. This one, a soft and smooth, contrast-less scene. Though still maintaining visual interest.
I ventured out via split board off of Whitefish Mountain in Montana. These outings were played safe. Garmin in hand, all the layers I would need, a headlamp and more. I wasn't taking many or if any risks other then it getting dark on me. Which I had my bearings on where I was.
