Winter Scenes

Into Thin Air

Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah. 2023

A unique display of branches along the rim of Bryce Canyon National Park. The natural tones of this scene was pretty awesome to come across. I had my mind set on small scenes after discussing the process of elimination with my workshop group, and how photography is an art form not just a way to document your experiences. My workshop group and I spent the entire day working with these small and intimate scenes to expand the way they viewed the landscape. In three days, we received 36 inches of snow. It was a lot of dang snow. The light was minimal and so these nuanced scenes became our only option really. It was a great time though it was very cold and wet. Great times with great people!
