A tree with golden yellow leaves stands beside a winding creek beneath layered canyon walls, with sunlight illuminating the upper left rock face while shadows cover the water and stony banks.

Capitol Reef National Park, Utah. 2025

Just a freaking awesome scene and experience this was! I enjoy every second of being in this canyon. Each bend is something new with reflected light, cottonwoods, waterfalls and all. It is so damn nice. And one that I truly dont think there is a single high quality image from.. at-least that I have seen and recognized as being in here. My buddy Josh, who lives in Boulder, came out here and we hiked this, then went out for sunset. Though this canyon takes hours. It is approximately a 7 mile hike but with photographing, it feels like 12 miles. The time you spend photographing is about 10x longer than if you just hiked straight through.
