Whitefish Mountain, Montana. 2020
Atop a snow covered mountain in mid winter. As sunset approached the angled light created a red glow onto the snow, creating contrast with the trees. The swirls of orange, glowing light on the snow, pristine untouched landscape, while low light clouds were moving up the mountain, just 50 feet or so above myself which were illuminated by the last bit of sunlight up on Whitefish Mountain in Montana. This day, I took the ski lift up Whitefish Mountain to the summit, then I split boarded to the actual summit of the Whitefish Mountain and arrived a few hours before sunset. As sunset approached, Whitefish Ski Resort closed, I photographed this stunning view until the light faded and left. I then boarded down a log and enjoyable run with my headlight on to then get to the parking lot and walk up to my home that I was renting.
