Moki Steps

Utah Southwest. 2019

I use to lead daily photography tours into this canyon known as Peek-a-Boo slot canyon in southern Utah near Kanab, Utah. Peek-a-Boo slot canyon is extremely unique and the colors, textures curves and all are genuinely amazing. Even with the mass amount of people that walk through this on a daily basis, it really is a great canyon. In this canyon, there are Moki Steps, made from the Native Americans that resided here. They were likely made to climb high onto the canyon wall into an alcove of sorts to store food into a cool section of the canyon. The colors of this canyon ranged from warm orange, yellow, down to magentas and blues.
