Mountain Landscapes

Quenched

Mt Reynolds, Glacier National Park, Montana. 2019

Not far from Logan Pass, up the Hidden Lake trail, is the famous Mount Reynolds peak. It stands at the top of the Continental Divide. Overlooking Hidden Lake, Hell Roaring Mountain, and so many others. Though on this evening I was more connected to the moment of this sunset.. and the passing mountain sheep. I went to and thro working around this landscape scene. I wanted to capture the essence of how I felt standing here. Freaking amazed! Everything about it was beautiful: the smells, colors, textures of clouds, reflections, flowing water, and the light! The light was just top notch! Damn it was good. I photographed Mount Reynolds for a few hours. And when it came time to witness the best light, I was ready. I was set up, photographing sequences of different light, not missing the beauty that was unfolding. And that I did. For me, it was instilled in the moment and brought to life during the processing side.
