As autumn unfolds, the Utah wilderness becomes a canvas of shifting hues, with golden cottonwoods, deep crimson willows, and willows just beginning to take on their fiery glow. During late fall, the contrast between the warm, radiant colors of the willows and the deep, moody evergreens is nothing short of breathtaking. What I love most about willows is their unpredictable nature—while some have already shed their leaves, others are just beginning their transformation, creating a mesmerizing dance of light and shadow across the terrain. It’s moments like these that make living here so special. Witnessing nature’s subtle, ephemeral beauty never grows old, and each season brings new compositions waiting to be discovered.
