Orange and pale gray-green lichens form rounded patches across reddish rock, with cracked surfaces, overlapping stone fragments, and finely textured growth filling the close-up view.

Rock Art

Capitol Reef National Park, Utah. 2025

After Elenas birthday, we drove down to one of our favorite places on earth. This tiny section of white sandstone mixed with red sandstone. The views are unreal from here and the formations in this area are stunning also. You can see mountains, 500+ foot cliff faces, and layers beyond comprehension. We have been here on many occasions and just about each time we see an elk herd of 30+. This is a special place and one that I will likely never share a wide-grand scene from. Simply to retain its mystical beauty.
