Ship-Wreck

Iceland, Vestrahorn, 2022

On our way to this beach, our rental vehicle started flashing all of the warning lights. One after the next, we knew the vehicle was going to die on us. Seth Hamel, my great friend and workshop instructor, asked the group, "we can go on to the sunset location and the vehicle will die there, or we can go back to the nearby town and play it safe" everyone was in conjecture, lets go on! And so we did. After parking, exploring and photographing for a short amount of time, Seth and I realized the vehicles battery was dead. He found someone to jump start the vehicle and while the vehicle started, it died there after. I then hitched a ride to the cafe to get another person to jump the vehicle, and eventually I found someone. Though the vehicle was completely done. The alternator went out. We called the rental company and an "uber" to take us back to town. In the meantime, we photographed until everything fell into place.
