Whitefish Mountain, Montana. 2021
After a very heavy snow-fall, producing about a foot of fresh snow overnight, this following day strong winds came into this region, creating this moody and unique scenery of blowing snow through a dense and large section of pine trees; covering trees and revealing others. What an absolute treat this was! I was actually working at the Whitefish Ski Resort this day, on a lift that not many people visit due to the difficulty to get to it. This worked well because I brought all my camera gear to work this day and when I saw the wind blowing this snow on a distant hill-side, I was out photographing, just in awe of what I was witnessing. I also brought my spit board this day and after work I went deeper into the backcountry to photograph the fresh snow. Whitefish mountain in Montana is such a cool environment. The distant mountains of Glacier National Park, the Continental Divide, massive peaks and valleys.. Absolutely amazing place!
