The Vail

Whitefish Mountain, Montana. 2021

After heavy snow the night before, this morning was absolutely howling. I guess upwards of 45 miles an hour. All the fresh snow on the trees began to blow off, and I was easily fixated. Kind of funny, I was working as a lift operator for whitefish Mountain ski resort in Montana Well, this was occurring. I had brought up my camera gear because after the lifts shut down, I would use my split board and skin higher up the mountain into the backcountry to photograph. This image was created while working the top lift, on shift. The opportunity presents itself gotta hop on it.
