Traveling On

Capitol Reef National Park, Utah. 2026

Here is an image I have made in fall a few times, but each time it hasn't felt right. I love the glow that the Fremont River gets this time of day, as the cliff face which you see if fully lit up. That light reflects into the rivers surface but also onto the surrounding trees and plant life. Though this spring, of 2026, it just felt right; the color separation, the flow, colors, etc. I have stood here over one-hundred times, here in Capitol Reef National Park. This is a location I take clients to on a weekly basis because it's just so good and a great place to learn photography. So I know it intimately well. I understand the light, land, objects that reside here and I can create special work in here.
