Angled light was present, and these larch trees were soaring high into the sky, well above the younger pines that stand below. The Old Mans Beard; black moss like hair, attached to branches and tree trunks. The display of these trees, almost leaning inward and outward, like a group of people having a discussion, moving and leaning around trying to get comfortable while standing for a long while. This area I spent a lot of time because of how close it was to where I lived, outside of Whitefish, Montana. It was the Swift Creek Trailhead area, north of Whitefish Lake.
