Vestrahorn in golden light while onto of the black sand beach which turned to ice in very cold temperatures. The entire beach literally turned to a polished ice. When I say polished, I mean it was as smooth as I could ever imagine ice to be. I had my tripod set up and I would run and slide, I would slide my tripod for 20feet as I slid for attest that far. The sand you see here was blowing in all different types of shapes and lines across this polished ice. I would wait for the right moment and photograph the scene as the sand would land in perfect uniform.
