Zion National Park, Utah. 2019
This is easily one of the most amazing sunsets I have ever experienced. Not because of the clouds exploding in color, but because of the amazing experience of exploration, discovery and, well, being completely awe-struck!
West Temple of Zion National Park is a prominent feature in Zion and it's glory and stature are undeniable. I have had a fascination with this feature since my first visit, and when I lived in Virgin, Utah, I spent countless hours hiking to various places to get a more unique perspective on the photograph at West Temple.
On this particular evening, I hiked, well bushwacked, my way through shrub oak while on the edge of private property, hoping I would not be seen. I eventually made it on top of this sandstone with a long way to go.
The views were instantly amazing but with the dark and gloomy day, the photographs were nothing special. After hours of exploring, I stood here at this spot shown, and, safe to say, I was blown away!
