Undulating Drifts

Fresh snowfall in the highlands of the desert world. High winds and dappled light offered an beautiful morning here in Bryce Canyon. This is one of my favorite images of Bryce Canyon in the winter. When I woke in the morning, prepared for driving into the canyon country of southern Utah, I seen the amount of snow that accumulated overnight in Bryce Canyon. I walked out and found this scene. Without a tripod, I hand-held this photograph. I waited till there was extremely soft light in the snow-drift in the foreground and for bright sun-light to light up the distant cliffs and hoodoos of Bryce Canyon. This was created just a little away from the sunrise point in Bryce Canyon National Park. Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah. 2020
