A moody and wet morning lends great light for a dark forest scenes. This was one of those that with any direct light, the scene becomes washed out with light scattered randomly through the scene. This day, rainy and dark, was the ideal time to photograph these scenes. I walked in this forests a few times, right near Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park, Montana. I had photographed this scene in fact, more than once. Though not with the darkness that was present on this day. These trees are quite beautiful, Cedars, Pines, Firs and others. A unique stand of forests in this zone.
