A stunning winter storm made landfall at Factory Butte, Moonscape Overlook and all the way to Hanksville. Backing up: when I arose, there was about a foot of snow at my home in Torrey. I began the drive at 5 a.m.; not a snowplow has been out yet. Roughly 1.5 hours in, I turned onto the dirt, which was about a foot of snow without a track. I photographed Moonscape Overlook then came to Factory Butte. As the clouds began to disperse, sunlight would spot light on this otherworldly landscape. It was a truly beautiful morning.
