Glacier Fed

Iceberg Lake in a hazy but strong lighting day. We hiked up to this turquoise-colored lake and mointans, obviously carved by thousands of years of glaciers. The green was exuberant, as were the glacier-fed lakes. Iceberg Lake, at the base of Iceberg Peak and the Ptarmigan Wall, is an ice-cold, instant-shivering lake. This image was taken just before you actually get to the Iceberg Lake. This small lake shown is below Icerberg Lake, which flows down from Iceberg Creek. The tall and overhanging peaks loom overhead, forcing you to crank your neck straight up in order to see the peaks of these tall mountains, which reside on the Continental Divide of Glacier National Park. This area is located in the Many Glaciers area of Glacier National Park in Montana. Glacier National Park, MT, 2021
