Hiking up to this hike was quite the effort. There is a lot of elevation gain, but with every step, the views become more and more stunning! I can't begin to describe just how stunning and large the scale of Glacier National Park is. After hiking the eight miles to arrive here, the view made it all worth it.
This is the Many Glacier area of Glacier National Park. This lake specifically is Grinnell Lake fed by the Grinnell Glacier. The hike to this location is long and steep. Totally 10 miles, 1,800 feet elevation gain along the Grinnell Glacier Trail.
When arriving at Grinnell Lake was insane. The water is a turqoius blue, because of the Glacier Silt, when the glaciers rub and carve the rock, pumbling it into a powder, and the sun reflects these particles in the water giving this crazy color. To contrast these are the unique colors of angles of the rock surrounding Grinnell Lake. The image shows this and more, the Grinnell Waterfall, fed by the melting Grinnell Glacier.
