After hiking up a nearby hill near my home in Whitefish, Montana, I gained enough elevation to get above the inversion of clouds that lay below. The clouds ebbed and flowed, becoming thicker and thinner, changing and morphing.
As the light faded and the last bit of light grazed the tip of these islands of trees, just barely making their way above the clouds,. Shortly after this moment, the clouds consumed these "islands," and the light faded into darkness.
I truly love this scene. It reminds me of a feeling of bliss and abundance. Where no doubts reside, only love and light.
Every winter, this inversion comes through the valley of Whitefish, and luckily for myself, I lived up on Whitefish Mountain, so I was almost always higher than the clouds from the inversion below. This lent me amazing conditions which peaked my curiosity and creativity each and every day.
