Mountain Landscapes

Paradise

The most lush and vibrant area I have backpacked through. 25 miles on our 38 miles trip. Throughout this night I heard a grizzly bear growling and huffing. The morning came and I was out for sunrise to witness a sow with three cubs on a nearby hillside. The views were beyond beautiful. Mountains towering overhead, valleys filled with flowers, berries, and streams. This was photographed at Hole-In-The-Wall campground area. The mountains are Mount Custer Elevation: 8,881 ft, with Bowman Creek at the foreground. This was 21 miles in. We began at the Boulder Pass Trailhead, at the foot of Kintla Lake.
