Wild ice patterns form in a depression of a remote dirt road In the Swan Valley area of northern Montana. This area is massive, just huge! An area that makes you feel tiny and insignificant. And this area is tiny in comparison to so many other locations in northern Montana. This state is just something else. Anyway, I photographed this weird ice pattern with leaves that had fallen on many of them. They were interesting and fun to work with. This specific ice pattern was something else though; the curves, light, subtle patterns and all. It was beautiful in its own right, right in the middle of a dirt road.
