Autumn ColorsDoom & Glow
Northern Montana has some of the most fast moving and dominating weather I have had the pleasure to hike, camp and photograph in. The clouds move swiftly. Light often times breaks through on these fast moving, low clouded days. Creating a nice glow to wherever that sun comes in.
I spent days upon days in the North Fork area of Montana, just outside of Glacier National Park. This area has the North Fork River, and mountains that surround the river. On the mountain-sides and along the river banks are filled with Lodgepole Pines and Larch Pine trees and some Birch trees. Resulting in very green and yellow colors come mid-October. My focus was the Larch trees for this times period, as the aspens and birches leaves have fallen off.
