Diffused light, cold temperatures, and colorful lands among the basin of the North Fork River, close to Glacier National Park. The small pine trees placed within the openings of the birch trees, barely holding onto the leaves they still have. Most of the Birches and Aspens have lost all their leaves and the Larches are just beginning to turn their golden hue. Though today, the Birches hold on ever so lightly, at the slightest wind would blow the leaves off and that would be the last of them until the following year.
