Western Forests

Timely Manner

Very dense fog covered the world. After an hour or so the sun slowly started burning off the fog and created an etheral feel. During a three day backpacking trip I arose each morning for sunrise. Each morning, dense fog stuck around at least an hour. This morning, our third morning, as the sun burned through the fog, a faint glow reflected off Logging Lake. The sun finally making an appearance and it was more beautiful than the previous two mornings. In its own-right. The glow this was giving, the off metal, aluminum look on the water surface, the simplicity of the scene, I was in love with it. Watching this was a wonderful sight. I had been awake for the previous two hours waiting for this moment and it came much later than expected.
