Pressure Release

Heavy fog swayed and moved with the slightest breeze and it seemed to cut through every layer of clothing. The sound of the river below, the rustling of Birch leaves, and the somewhat eerie-ness of the dense fog moving through the burnt forest at the base of the Livingston Mountain Range of Glacier National Park. I stood here for hours, as I got here well before sunrise, (5:30am) sunrise at 7:30am. This was about a 1.5 hours drive from my home. I stood and waited for things to change, morph and do what nature does. At complete mercy of it all. As I did, this scene and many more became available to create images with. And later, the sun did come out, showing the distant mountain peaks just barely through the fog and subtle autumn colors and dead trees from a wildfire years ago. When the scene became visible I was giddy with excitment of what could be and it was. Just a stunning display of fog, light, colors and textures in an abundantly gorgeuous scene.
