The North Fork River in Montana, is under the Federal Scenic and Wild Rivers Act. Creating this river virtually untouchable. This keeps this river free from dams and man-made objects to deter from its natural beauty and life-giving route through the mountains of Northern Montana.
I spend countless days along the North Fork River banks. Photographing great light, golden foliage of Septembers Birch Trees and Octobers Larch Trees. The river itself is beautiful because its clarity and color. Not to mention the landscape which it resides in. One of the most wild and beautiful landscapes I have had the pleasure of spending a year and a half exploring.
This day, great dappled light scattered throughout the landscape. This scene, as shown, is happening not he nearby mountain while reflecting in the surface of the North Fork River. Dark ominous clouds threatened rain and lighting all day, and rain did come in many times. Though the light was exactly what I was hoping for when I left my home two days prior to this moment. I wouldn't return for another three days.
