Mountain LandscapesMountain Song
The song of the mountain stream and wind. There are no words to describe this scene. But I will try. The spring flowers were beginning to open up and show their beautiful array of colors. The sky was dark and rain was eminent. Sunlight would shine through, then quickly dissipate, leaving the landscape dull in comparison. The flowers seemed to grow next to the stream that flows through this scene. The high alpine feel was present, as you see the dwarf pines that are reminiscent of a short growing season. The large mountain, The Garden Wall, that curves through this wildly unfathomable massive landscape was carved from two-mile-high glaciers that once consumed the Continental Divide, here in Glacier National Park.
As the light landed on the Garden Wall, a slight reflection of light grazed the open fields before this level of ground dropped precipitously a few hundred feet below. The combination of purples, pinks, reds, yellows, and greens was as vibrant as you can imagine. All of these aspects of photographing this scene were present and I could feel them deep within.
