Western Forests

Lure

Two passing hikers mentioned “there is a black bear up the trail” as im making my way there. I was photographing this scene while listening intently on noises just 30-40 feet into the woods. I heard a few sounds, nothing to serious to take my attention away from what I was doing, creating art in this awesome forest. This area, the Swift Creek area, was the first spot I went to walk around in when moving to Whitefish Montana. I was instantly drawn back to it, and I came back, likely 30-40 times to walk the loop, walk off trail, meander into denser woods and just enjoy my time here. Those two passing hikers, are now great friends, Justin and his brother Nate. Justin, is what I would consider my best friend, we instantly hit it off and the next night after meeting we all went camping together - their wives and Elena and I. We have been best friends ever since!
