Temples & Valleys

Zion National Park, Utah. 2019

Monsoon storms move through the high elevations of Zion National Park. When most think of Zion, they think of the scenic canyon. As do I. But this year of 2019, I spent hundreds of hours on a lesser known area of Zion National Park. The Kolob Terrace Road area, west of the main canyon. This area, which receives feet of snow each year, sits around 7,000 feet. And the views are dang good. As shown, West Temple, one of the most prominent features in Zion, standing tall while getting drenched from a passing spring storm. The layers of sandstone cliffs showing their definition by the passing rain.
