Intimate Scenes

Pungent

As I was hiking away from any other visitor, as they went left, I went hard right into an area that seems like nothing but really has it all. I came upon this beautiful, small cascading waterfall. What struck me was the great color combinations of the green plant, pink flowers, cyan-colored rock, and the smooth, falling water. The combination of these elements and colors really stopped me in my tracks and forced me to look deeper. I began composing a few varying compositions, all aiming to reveal the elegance that had stopped me in the first place. After about fifteen minutes, I felt I had composed this scene as well as I could, using a process of elimination. This is; not including objects that do not contribute to the feeling I wish to represent. I have been working on this process for years and it has paid off because I am able to create stunning landscape images.
